#talk 30: I'm alive!

I have not blogged for more than a week and that is very unlike me. I even got a few sad emails asking why I have not finished The Sun's Dark Love. I am so so so sorry, but I fell very very very ill a week ago and I'm still suffering.

I've fallen sick a lot in the past year. I've always had a weak immune system and I honestly think my office ventilation is not helping - every single time a spell of virus starts, I always fall sick and sometimes twice in one spell!

I've promised my husband to eat better, sleep better and exercise (yikes). Hopefully, my overall health will improve. Health is indeed wealth!

I'm still here! Just, not completely, because my brain feels slightly whacked with all the medication. I don't trust myself to translate or finish my stories. Hopefully, I will be back in fit condition in the weekend! *Cross fingers*

For now, I have been watching the Korean Drama, "Healer". One of the most awww-inducing dramas I have watched for a while and healing (haha) for the soul.

love, decembi

  2. I'm sorry to hear that you were sick! Although I have not posted on this site in a while, I have always been following your blog everyday. When you haven't updated in a while, I was getting real worried, since you usually spoil us readers with your regular updates hehe~

Anyway, your health is the most important thing, so rest well. I hope you'll feel better soon!

  3. Eat a lot of chicken soup, sleep early, drink a lot of water, wash your feet and hands before you go to sleep, eat medicines even if its not that serious, if you're having a pet like cats or dogs or anything with furs, try not to get close with them too much. Oh, also don't drink any cold drinks. Luke warm or room temperature water would do.

Do not stay cramp in your bedroom, try going out a bit, well preferably out to the balcony if you have one near your room or if not, you can just go to the nearest windows are and open it. Then you inhale the air as many as you could and let it out slowly. This could reduce your stress. :)

And, every morning, open all of the windows in your bedroom, let the fresh air in. Don't just watch dramas, try to move a little bit. And if you have any balm, you can use that and spread it onto your tummy. Or you can just inhale the balm a bit. (It actually soothes me)

All of these work for me, been doing it whenever I feel sick or stress. And oh, I almost forgot, try not to eat anything too heavy. :) Eat something that has nutrients and is healthy for you to consume.

Rest well, Decembi. Get well soon. :D

  5. A tiny suggestion for you. Eat DAILY plenty of garlic, onions, ginger and turmeric. They can be fresh or in pill form. I had 3 flus and 2 colds 2 years ago. After consuming these, I had a slight cold last Dec for 3 days and back to fine form real quick. Take care and stay warm!!!

Most people are already suggesting stuff, i'll add more thing: drink lots of tea, or rather lemon tea ! :D If not there's the option of ginger tea,but I find that a bit intense.
But no remedies is better than getting enough rest !
Hope you get better soon ^.^
And yeeeeeeeeeeeees! I watched Healer too. It has been a wonderful drama during for the past few episodes. The otp moments are so sweet. ^___^

  11. Sorry to hear you have been feeling under the weather - n I was thinking u are stuck w a big case from the recent inactivity! Hope u have time to rest but if not supplements is the next best thing. Someone was also telling me about ginger, garlic n turmeric a few days ago but if not, there r plenty of stuff from GNC, Herbalife, etc. During my stint w a bank, many of us have to depend on supplements then too. Get well soon! PS: I just knocked off to.

    2. Happy new year Decembi, sorry to hear you have been unwell! Sorry I have gone missing for a while, wrapping up with work before going on Maternity leave, plus a clingy toddler plus #2 on the way has totally thrown the last few months into a forgettable mess!

Congrats Sutekii, I've just reached the third trimester and really feel for you, rest up while you can :) hope you don't get an attack of mummy brains like me.... I have spent the last 3 days turning the house upside down looking for my "misplaced" engagement ring!
