Tang 7 (author of the Three Lives, Three Worlds series ("3L3W")) just had a short Q&A with her fans on her weibo (kind of like the China version of twitter?). It was mainly promoting the new version of Life is A Twice-Blooming Flower (see the revised ending translation here). Amazingly, from the weibo, *SPOILER* I learned that the second male lead who died in the first version, has now been "resurrected" so he survives in the second version! *END SPOILER* Now, that, I need to read. Haha. Although overall, I really didn't like Life is A Twice-Blossoming Flower much.
Briefly, Tang 7 has finished Ten Thousand Miles of Peach Blossom (Bai Qian Qian and Ye Hua's story) and The Pillow Book (Dong Hua and Feng Jiu's story). She started two other series, one is Prince Lian Song's story (this one has been put on hiatus indefinitely) and the other is Mo Yuan's story (although the female lead isn't very clear as of yet and it has also been put on hiatus). Hamster is translating Mo Yuan's story!
Tang 7 was writing Mo Yuan's story when she was hit by inspiration so she has started a modern day series called 四幕戏 (Four Acts of Play). It's just started this year and Tang 7 estimates she will finish it next year.
For 3L3W fans:
- Q: Will you still be writing the Three Lives, Three Worlds series?
- A: I do not know when will I be able to write it finish, but to complete the Three Lives, Three Worlds Series and to create a serious and grand overarching vision of the Ancient World is one of my dreams.
I can't wait till Mo Yuan's story is completed! Ah, I wonder when that will be - three to four more years? Sigh.
